Mr. Levine is a partner in the Litigation group of Arnstein & Lehr. His practice covers a broad spectrum of activities in the area of real estate litigation, including mechanics liens, bond claims and construction disputes, mortgage foreclosures, commercial landlord-tenant cases and title disputes. His clients include major financial institutions, developers and contractors. Mr. Levine has written and spoken extensively on a variety of topics relating to mechanics liens, mortgage foreclosure and other real estate topics. He is certified as an Arbitrator for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in DuPage County, Illinois.

Professional Activities and Achievements

Mr. Levine is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) and is a past Chair of the ISBA's Real Estate Section Council. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and is past Chair of its Real Estate Litigation Subcommittee and the Mechanics Lien Subcommittee of its Real Property Committee. In addition, Mr. Levine is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association and a member of its Real Estate Law and Practice Committee.

Recent Publications

Mr. Levine is the author of the chapter entitled "Defense of Mortgage Foreclosures" appearing in the Real Estate Litigation Practice handbook published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE); chapters entitled "Trial Practice - Breach and Damages" and "Trial Practice - Proof of Selected Issues" appearing in the Mechanics Liens in Illinois Practice handbook published by IICLE; and articles entitled "The Residential Real Estate Disclosure Act" and "Perfecting Mechanics Liens - The Contractor's Duty After Matesa", appearing in the Illinois Bar Journal. His lectures include "Construction Law Update," which was presented at an ISBA seminar; "Mechanics Liens, Work Authorizations and Condominiums," which was presented at a CBA seminar, and "Mechanics Liens in Bankruptcy," which was also given at a CBA seminar. He has also been featured as a panelist for the cable television program "Landlords and Tenants" as part of the "Illinois Law: Legal News You Can Use" series.
