J. Marlowe
Partner
Mr. Marlowe is a Partner in the Tampa office of Arnstein &
Lehr LLP. He is a commercial litigator who concentrates his
practice in construction law, creditors rights (including
bankruptcy),product liability, technology and complex
commercial litigation. His clients range from Fortune 500
companies to local paving contractors. Mr. Marlowe has an
extensive background in technology, including an
undergraduate degree in telecommunications, a minor in
computer information science, work experience in the radio,
cable television, and computer industries, and a long
history of representing local and national computer and
telecommunications clients. His experience negotiating
out-sourcing contracts for a Fortune 500 computer
manufacturer gives him a unique perspective to
problem-solving and enables him find creative business
solutions to litigation matters. His math and computer
background are invaluable in constructing complex analyses
in bankruptcy preference actions and he regularly represents
national clients in bankruptcy actions throughout the
eastern United States. He has represented contractors,
subcontractors and owners in hundreds of lien foreclosure
actions over the past fifteen years and regularly consults
with other attorneys around the state who have questions
about lien foreclosure actions.
Professional Activities and Achievements
Mr. Marlowe is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar
Association, the Clearwater Bar Association, the Pasco
County Bar Association, and the Pasco Building Association.
Publications and Lectures
He is the author of Florida
Construction Liens 2007, a pocket compilation of Florida
law relating to construction law in Florida. He also has
given multiple lectures on Internet legal research and has
been a guest lecturer for Pasco Hernando Community Colleges
paralegal program.
