Christopher S. Naveja
Partner
Mr. Naveja is a partner in the Litigation group of Arnstein & Lehr. He has experience representing clients
in complex commercial and tort litigation. He has devoted
significant amounts of time to matters involving breach of
contract, fraud, consumer fraud, and tortuous interference
with contract and prospective economic advantage. In his
practice he represents a number of manufacturers, financial
institutions, automobile dealers, and construction
companies. He has experience handling mediations,
arbitrations, non-jury trials, and jury trials in Chicago
and the surrounding communities. Mr. Naveja was part of the
Firm’s trial team that successfully litigated a
multi-million dollar lease dispute involving one of
Chicago’s landmark hotels. He is also a member of the Firm’s
consumer finance litigation team which has successfully
litigated, on behalf of major financial institutions,
consumer class action cases throughout the country.
Professional Activities and Achievements
Mr Naveja recently spoke at the NADC conference on the
implications of electronic discovery under the Amended
Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. He has also co-authored
several articles which include: “The FTC Holder in Due
Course Language: What’s Your Liability?” published in Auto
Finance & Leasing, Vol. 2, No. 2, Summer 1997, pp. 6-10;
“The Rooker-Feldman Doctrine: An Analysis of its Application
in Today’s Legal Environment,” Consumer Finance Law
Quarterly Report (2001). Mr. Naveja is a member of the
American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association and
serves on the Firm’s Hiring, Diversity, and Continuing Legal
Education Committees.
