Steven S. Newburgh is a Partner in the firm's West Palm Beach office. His practice focuses on construction law, mechanic’s lien litigation complex commercial litigation, estate and probate litigation, intellectual property and entertainment law.


Professional Activities and Achievements

Mr. Newburgh has been honored by the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida for “Outstanding Service and Dedication to the Court and its Pro Bono Program” and the Florida Supreme Court for “Outstanding Pro Bono Service.” He has also been nominated for “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” by the 15th Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program.  Mr. Newburgh also received an “Outstanding Services” award from B’nai B’rith Justice Lodge.

 

Mr. Newburgh is a member of The Florida Bar and Palm Beach County Economic Forum. He is the former chairman of the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and Museum and for the City of West Palm Beach Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Mr. Newburgh has also served as chairman/commissioner of the West Palm Beach Housing Authority, and as a board member of the West Palm Beach Library Advisory Board. Mr. Newburgh has also received an appointment by the mayor of West Palm Beach to serve on the Primary Focus Group for the Waterfront Improvement Board and currently serves on the West Palm Beach Water Advisory Task Force.

 

Recent Publications and Speaking Engagements

 

Mr. Newburgh has lectured for the American Disc Jockey Association of South Florida on the topic of DJ engagement contracts. He has published an article on film score protection in the Daily Business Review, and published a featured article about the representation of the cast of Miami Ink in the Daily Business Review.
