Richard L. Rosenbaum
Partner

Richard L. Rosenbaum is a partner at Arnstein & Lehr's Fort Lauderdale office and concentrates his practice in the areas of appellate matters, criminal defense, domestic relations, and civil litigation. Mr. Rosenbaum has been extremely successful at the trial court level as well as in the appellate arena.

Professional Activities and Achievements

Mr. Rosenbaum has represented many “white collar” criminal defendants in federal court proceedings. He has also represented Lionel Tate, the youngest child in the country sentenced to life imprisonment as result of an incident which occurred when he was 12 years old resulting in the death of his 6 year old friend. In addition, Mr. Rosenbaum was a member of the team of lawyers who successfully represented baseball star Jose Canseco in 2003 when he was charged with violating the terms and conditions of his community control. He has handled dozens of other high-profile criminal and civil cases.


Mr. Rosenbaum is a member of the Broward County and American Bar Associations, the Florida Bar, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
 

Recent Publications

Mr. Rosenbaum is the author if "Child's Play No Longer: Children Charged and tried as Adults in Florida-Ending Up in prison for Life Without Parole" which appeared in the Spring 2004 issue of the Nova Law Review and the April 2005 issue of Verdict, which is published by the National Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals. Mr. Rosenbaum co-authored "What Monster Lies Behind Door #2? Thinking Ahead in Jury Selection: A Primer" which appeared in the Florida Defender.
