R. Stein
Partner
Miriam R. Stein is a partner with Arnstein & Lehr concentrating her
practice in the areas of corporate reorganization and
insolvency, creditors' rights and commercial litigation. She
has considerable experience representing corporate debtors
and creditor committees and has overseen all aspects related
to Chapter 11 cases. Prior to entering private practice, Ms.
Stein served as a law clerk for the Honorable Erwin I. Katz,
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
Professional Activities and Achievements
Ms. Stein is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and
Commercial Law League.
Recent Publications
Ms. Stein is the co-author of an article on Disputed Trustee
Elections published in the Commercial Law Bulletin. She has
also written on U.C.C. Article 1 for Matthew Bender's
publication. Ms. Stein has spoken before numerous legal
organizations, including the Illinois Bar Association, on
the issues of corporate reorganization and, in particular,
real estate issues in bankruptcy.
