Robert J. Taylor
Partner

Mr. Taylor is a partner in the Business and Real Estate groups of Arnstein & Lehr. His practice covers a wide range of activities in the real estate area, including the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. He has been involved in numerous multi-million dollar transactions concerning the sale and financing of real estate and he has represented many lenders in multi-million dollar transactions secured by liens upon real estate, equipment and inventory. Mr. Taylor has extensive experience in representing landlords and tenants in the negotiation of complex office, industrial and shopping center leases, including the representation of a national retailer. He has been involved in the merger and acquisition of businesses and the financing of such transactions, including the representation of lenders extending credit facilities. His experience includes work on land use and zoning issues, condominium conversions and real estate tax matters.

Professional Activities and Achievements

Mr. Taylor is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association; the Chicago Bar Association and its Real Estate Law Section and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also holds an Illinois Real Estate Broker's license.

Recent Publications

Mr. Taylor was a speaker and roundtable discussion leader at the 2003 ICSC Law Conference regarding security costs included in CAM and operating expenses in commercial leases.
