Thomas P. Yardley
Partner

Mr. Yardley is a partner in Arnstein & Lehr's Litigation group. He handles a variety of litigation matters including products liability and other personal injury actions, contractual disputes and real estate claims. He also has experience in litigation involving financially distressed and bankrupt companies. Mr. Yardley has extensive experience with motion practice. He served as Law Clerk to Cook County Circuit Court Motion Judge Paddy McNamara. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Yardley represented Lloyds of London and CNA in multi-million dollar insurance coverage litigation. Most recently, Mr. Yardley has assisted in the preparation of multiple appellate court briefs in significant cases involving the rights of condominium associations.

Professional Activities and Achievements

While attending Marquette University Law School, Mr. Yardley worked as an intern for Judge John L. Coffey of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Yardley has also clerked for the United States Attorney's Office and the Felony Trial Division of the Cook County States Attorney's Office. Mr. Yardley is a member of the Illinois State and Wisconsin Bar Associations. Mr. Yardley worked for more than two years as an Assistant to the Editor of the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Newsletter. During that time, he wrote several articles on important cases in the field of Fidelity and Surety Bonds, including case summaries of In Re Ben Kennedy and Associates v. St. Paul Insurance Company, 40 F.3d 318 (10th Cir. 1994) and Bank One v. United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co., 869 F. Supp. 426 (S.D. W. Va.).
