Accounting

Operations Manager

Chicago

We are seeking a dynamic individual to handle the day-to-day administration and operation of our Accounting Department, with the primary responsibility being supervision and review of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts functions.  Team-building experience is required, as is experience in hiring, evaluation, coaching, providing feedback and disciplining staff.

 

Other responsibilities include customer service, preparation of financial reports and maintenance of various accounting records.  Will perform a variety of administrative, accounting and bookkeeping duties in order to maintain accurate financial and billing records and reports for both internal and external users.   In addition, the person in this position will assist with preparation and review of the budget.

 

Public accounting experience is a plus. 

 

Candidates must work well as a team member with the Chief Financial Officer and the Manager of Financial Reporting.  Work is performed with wide latitude for exercise of professional discretion and judgment within parameters established by the Chief Financial Officer. 

 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; designation of CPA preferred.  In addition, ten years of progressively responsible related work experience are necessary in addition to prior supervisory experienceStrong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills are necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff and provide useful information in a timely and courteous manner. 

Director of Human Resources

Position is responsible for the direction of five-person human resource staff. Department handles all aspects of the human resource function including recruiting and onboarding, orientation, benefits, payroll, job description maintenance, policy implementation and communication, attendance, performance evaluations, disciplinary counseling, HRIS and file maintenance.

Position reports to Director of Administration.  Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in addition to having at least 7 years in HR Management in a service industry.

 

Part-time Office Assistant

Hoffman Estates

 

 

Arnstein & Lehr LLP is looking for a dedicated individual to work part-time in its Hoffman Estates office, beginning in mid-August. The duties are clerical and include filing, copying and the like. Hours are 2 pm - 6 pm Monday-Friday year round.

 

Qualified candidates will have some office experience, an open mind and the ability to work with many different personalities while providing quality customer service to our clients internal and external. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and outstanding interpersonal skills are a must. Position requires driving for deliveries and such, so candidates should have a good driving record and access to a vehicle.
