On June 25th, 2008 Arnstein & Lehr's
Chicago office participated in
Just the Beginning Foundation's
Summer Legal Institute Program. Just the Beginning
Foundation (JTBF) is a non-profit pipeline organization which
supports students of color and other underrepresented groups
with free educational and mentoring programs as they move
towards a legal career.
The students took a
tour of the office, listened to a presentation explaining the
firm's business and interacted with some of the firm's attorneys
over lunch. Robert
Cichocki, a partner and the Chair of the Diversity
Committee, lead the discussion which touched on the importance
of teamwork and commitment to the success of a law firm.
He introduced the participating attorneys which included

summer associate Sarah Davenport. Other speakers included the
firm's managing partner, Raymond Werner and Patricia Winter, the
firm's Director of Administration.
