WEBINAR: “Litigating and Negotiating Construction Contracts”

 

Partners James Rohlfing and W. Matthew Bryant hosted an introductory webinar on the most commonly used construction contract forms, which are published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) with a focus on five key issues covered in those form contracts – issues that are often discussed in negotiation or the subject of litigation arising out of construction contracts. Together they discussed the basic construction contract provisions and demonstrated how particular construction contract clauses operate to shape and define the litigation issues that arise upon breach. Partners Adam Fayne, Manuel Flores, and Karen Harris hosted a 90-minute webinar alongside renowned Rush University Medical Center physician Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph on the recently enacted Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act of Illinois. Sponsored by leading medical cannabis cultivator Cresco Labs, this presentation shed light on legal issues, including physician qualifications, required documents to apply and undergo certification, and medical record requirements.
