Our Health Care Practice Speakers Bureau is comprised of Arnstein & Lehr attorneys that have significant experience in health care and health care-related litigation. They regularly present on health care legal issues to groups both large and small, from roundtable discussions to regional and national conferences.

Featured Speakers

Thomas P. Conley

Mr. Conley is a partner in the Business group at Arnstein & Lehr, with special concentration in health care and regulatory compliance. He chaired the Illinois State Bar Association's Health Care Section Council and Chicago Bar Association's Health Care and Hospital Law Committee. Mr. Conley also served as a board member for the National Association of Educational Facilities Authorities. He was named a Leading Lawyer in Health Care and selected to participate on the Advisory Board of the Leading Lawyers Network. He has also been named an Illinois Super Lawyer by Law & Politics.

Norman P. Jeddeloh

Mr. Jeddeloh is a partner in the Litigation group of Arnstein & Lehr. He has an established complex litigation practice in the areas of health care law, labor, and intellectual property. In addition, he is experienced in mass tort litigation in the medical device area. He serves or has served as outside general counsel to numerous midsize and smaller companies, an HMO, and a pharmaceutical company. He also represents numerous physician groups and professional associations.

 

Martin I. Kalish


Dr. Martin I. Kalish is a Partner in the firm's Miami office. His practice focuses on healthcare law. Dr. Kalish currently represents hospitals, physicians, physician groups, and businesses engaged in the health care industry.  With an emphasis on state and federal regulatory analysis, he also assists clients in judicial and administrative proceedings and assists in the defense of clients who are the target of health care fraud investigations, including representing clients before the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health & Human Services, state licensing boards and medical disciplinary boards. Additionally, he advises and participates in hospital-physician credentialing, medical staff bylaws-related issues, peer review, and corrective action proceedings, matters involving hospital-physician relationships, and hospital operational issues.

 

Jay P. Tarshis

Mr. Tarshis is a partner in the Firm’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on estate planning and administration, ERISA, employee benefits, and general corporate law. He frequently speaks on tax, estate planning, asset protection, family wealth planning and related issues. Recent publications include an article in Chicago Lawyer entitled, “Tax Issues Relating to Domestic Partner Benefits.” Mr. Tarshis has also frequently contributed to Medical Economics magazine and related publications.


David S. Waxman

Mr. Waxman is a partner and co-chair of the Litigation group of Arnstein & Lehr where he has practiced since 1985. He devotes a substantial portion of his time to health care and professional liability litigation. Mr. Waxman is a member of the American Bar Association and its Sections on Litigation, Torts and Insurance Practice, Health Law, and Law Practice Management. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and has served on the Council of its Section of Health Care Law, and he is a member of the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Waxman has served as Special Counsel to the Illinois Senate Executive Committee. He was named an Illinois Leading Lawyer and a Super Lawyer in various Chicago publications.
